On 1-Feb-2008 Derrick Steigerwalt joined our Dresden facility as an engineering leader, coming all the way from Pennsylvania, USA. In his role as Engineering Leader Derrick will be responsible for contributing to and managing new Research and Development opportunities. Derrick is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he obtained a bachelor’s degree with majors in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Derrick has experience in the medical device industry where he has previously participated in the research and development of left ventricle assist devices as well as venous access catheters.
